Our two-bed, air-conditioned apartment is in the popular family holiday town of Petrovac, 18kms south of the lively resort of Budva on the Budvanska Rivijera in Montenegro. The holiday apartment, which was completed in June 2009, sleeps up to 6 people. The holiday accommodation provides self catering facilities with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a large, comfortable sofa-bed in the lounge.

The apartment is rented directly from the owner and rental rates are :- 

July and August - 85 Euro per day
June and September - 60 Euro per day
Other months - rates are negotiable

The Petrovac Bay apartment development has a shared swimming pool and is in a peaceful location, just a five-minute walk from the safe beach and promenade  which is lined by restaurants and cafes. At the end of the bay is a small harbour and the 16th century Venetian fortress, Kastelo Lastva. Daily boat trips to Budva and Kotor Bay are available from the harbour.
 
A well stocked supermarket is just a two-minute stroll and the bus station and taxi rank are close by. The apartment is on the second floor (serviced by a lift) overlooking the pool and has sea views from the terrace and master bedroom.
 
Petrovac (Crna Gora in the native language) is the southernmost beach area of the Budva Riviera and is particularly popular with families. Petrovac's main town beach is a five-minute walk from the apartment, while there is a further safe swimming beach 10 minutes walk away at Lucice. A 16th century Venetian fortress guards the walled harbour. Cafés, snack bars restaurants and boutiques line the seaside promenade. A coastal footpath leads around the rocky headlands to Perazica do to the north and Lucice and Buljarica in the south.

Travel
Montenegro Airlines flies to Tivat (30 mins) and Podgorica (40 mins) with daily flights from Moscow and Belgrade throughout the summer. There are three flights per week from London Gatwick to Montenegro. Alternatively, Dubrovnik airport is a two-hour drive from Petrovac and is serviced by Easyjet, Flybe, Thomsonfly, BA and Jet2, with flights available from airports all around the UK. We can arrange airport transfers at extra cost.

Montenegro's most famous landmark Sveti Stefan is a 10-minute drive from Petrovac. Budva is a further 10 minutes along the coast. The stunning Boka Kotorska (Kotor Fjord) is half an hour away and a tour of Europe's southernmost fjord is easily arranged, either by coach or by boat. Tranquil Skadar Lake (Skadarsko Jezero) is 30 minutes inland from Petrovac and is home to numerous rare species of bird, including the pelican.
 
Montenegro offers plenty of opportunities for the more adventurous, such as white-water rafting in the Tara Canyon, kayaking on Skadar or Kotor Fjord, paragliding and parasailing around Budva and mountain biking in Kolasin. There are also many well-marked walking trails along the coast and inland.
